I assure you that after reading this post you will feel great to be an INDIAN. As we all know that the India is great and there are many gifts that we Indians have given to the world. Here are the few Gifts which you might have not known that came from India.

1.Diamonds : Up-till the 18th century India was the only source of Diamonds which feeded the whole world. In 1725 a small deposit was found in Brazil but it was not enough to find fill the world demand

 

2. Sugar If you like Sugar you have to thank India for it. The invention of manufacture of cane sugar granules from the sugarcane juice in India a little over two thousand years ago, followed by improvements in refining the crystal granules.


3. Shampoo : Not the today shampoo but the concept of cleaning your hair with herbs was invented in india. Even the word shampoo is derived from champu which means massage.




4.Cotton : Cotton was cultivated in the Indus Valley . In time the cotton industry was well developed to cotton spinning and fabrication and now in the modern era the cotton textiles has spread from India to the world.


   


5. Wireless communication: Jagadish Chander Bose , known as the father of wireless communication , invented a Mercury Coherer, a radio receiver that was used by Guglielmo Marconi to build first  operational two way radio


 


6. Fiber Optics:  Narinder Singh Kapany, a bog from Moga Punjab is known for his work in fiber optics. He was named one of the seven Unsung Heros by Fortune in their “Businessman of the Century” issue. He is also known as the “Father of Fiber optics”
