Actually the cow dunk acts as a disinfectant thus protecting the health of all the family members.

2. Eating Curd and Sugar before leaving the house.
One should always eat curd and sugar before leaving the house for an important work. It brings good luck. Actually in the tropical climate of India Curd is very good to keep your stomach cool and a good quantity of sugar in the curd gives you glucose for instant energy. Thus the mixture of the two is very good for your body.

3. Sweeping floor at Night.
If you sweep floor at night than it will bring good luck to you. Actually it has two fold meaning. At the time when the myth was created there were no lights. So while sweeping floor at night something important and valuable if dropped on floor could be thrown out of the house and secondly there was no flooring or bed system at that time. So if you would sweep the floor the mud would fall on your bedding ending in an unpleasant sleep at night and not be at your full the next morning.

4.  Cutting Nails at Night.
If you cut your nails at night it will bring a bad luck on you. Again there was neither light nor a proper tool to cut your nail. Nails were cut with the help of a sharp knife. So while cutting nails at night you could harm yourself and thus the bad luck.

By joining both our hands our fingers touches each other creating a pressure at some nerves which regulates the blood flow in our eyes, ears and mind, which again helps us to remember the person for a long time. And when we meet someone elder than us we touch their feet which produces a good vibration from both the people which creates a good relation between the two.
